Hog's Breath Cafe

M and I went to Dandenong to look at carpet - very boring... Since we were in the area, we got the chance to have lunch at a steakhouse that I've always wanted to go to - Hog's Breath Cafe.

Their aged prime ribs have been recommended to me by my colleague.... and we were not disappointed... but if you are going for lunch, better to share one dish as they are massive! The place reminds me of a country version of Hard Rock Cafe, the waitresses were very nice, and if you really want to, you can come home with your very own Hog's Breath Cafe outfit...

What would I recommend on the menu - Aged primed rib of course! M had the garlic mushroom version with green salad and mash potatoes, while I had the black pepper version with lots of calamari rings, fried potato curls and steamed vegetables... Very indulgent of us . Mmm just thinking about it makes me hungry.

There is four Hog's Breathe Cafe in Melbourne at the moment: Chadstone, Dandenong, Knox City, and Ballarat.

Let me know what else is good on the menu!!

22/03/07 Update: There is a Hog's Breath Cafe in Chadstone and Knox City.
