Bread Making

At the recent Myer sale, I bought a pop corn maker as well as a bread maker. I've been baking various loaves of bread since then... trying to perfect the recipe. I've also started making rolls as well. Next time I want to try making baguette...

There is no bread as good as homemade freshly baked bread! It's so fresh and full of wholesome goodness that it is wonderful just with butter. It's one of life's pleasures.

I want to make my own baquette. Any ideas what the temperature should be for a fan force oven?

Dear Kazmic,

Hokkaido is quite "hip" these days. I have tried but is not perfect yet. I was wondering if the bread you baked taste fluffy. From your photo, your bread looks quite fluffy.

If it is fluffy, would you mind sharing your recipe?

Oops, I meant Hokkaido Bread, not Hokkaido.

Hi Lee Ping,

I actually use Bread mix.. so there is really not much to do. I found that the milk recipe is more moist and fluffy. Here it is:
Full cream milk scalded and cooled 310ml
Oil 3 tsp
Sugar 1.5 tbsp
Bread flower 3 cups
Bread improver 1 tsp
Yeast 1.5 tsp

Hokkaido bread, I think means that it contains Hokkaido cow's milk because of its pureness... Yum I love bread. Want to make croissant and use my bread machine to make pizza dough as well... :)
